Big bling
Here are some more big bling cards I made over the last week..... You might need shades on before you look, lol.
My fave is the green one, but that might have something to do with the fact it has some stamping going on in it :-)

That stamp again
This set of stamps is certainly getting it's mileage, it just goes with so many things. This card was coloured with chalks.... note not a hit of Glimmer mists in sight, lol. It does have a little bit of bling though in the vellum wrap & in the matting....
Pleased with the overall finish I got with this card.

It's gone all bling round here
I've been having a lot of fun with some very blingy kits that I brought recently. I'm not usually the sort that goes for these kinda kits, but thought what the hell if I'm going to have a go at bling I'm going the whole hog. I've been very impressed with the out come to. Here take a look.

Shell we...
Don't have much to talk about so it's just going to be piccys this time round I afraid. Starting with a bit of the seaside, this shell card was made using a cuttlebug embossing folder & Glimmer Misting it after putting it though the bug, yep I know I'm a sucker for those mists & the backing paper was taken from the Graphicus Guild paper pack.
This card uses, yep you've guest it an Elusive Images stamp again, which I stamped onto acetate & I used yet more gorgeous backing papers again from the Guild pack to go behide the stamped image, The Happy Birthday is from Kanban.

In the picture
I've not been good keeping up with my postings of late... time just seems to steal it's self away from me & even more so in the summer time..... Made this though, it's a pre made canvas frame which I painted in a yummy pink, had to use acetate to make the design, the stamp wouldn't stamp clearly on the canvas without me taking all apart...which I didn't want to do. By the way all stamps used are from Elusive images surprise, surprise, lol. I used Mezze Paints to colour in the image.

Tag it!
I tagged myself a little book, woo hoo. I'd always wanted to make one of these books ever since I started seeing other people making um. I had new stamps from Graphicus arrive so decided to use these to decorate most of the book & tags with just the odd rub on or embellishment from the stash I already had...oh & of cause Glimmer mists.....I'm just loving them at the moment.

A keepsake
I've finally have something to show.
This project has been in the making for some months.. not sure why. I first made the cover for this keepsake on the arrival of some very yummy card that had wicked designs, much like oil on water but with a tone on tone effect rather the rainbow effect. This set the tone for the whole of the layout colours I used & what better way to show it of but to use my 3 doggies :-)

Happy easter
A very happy easter to each & everyone. I don't have any work to show off at the moment as I've not really had much time plus I've not felt up to it.....don't know why, think it must be that time of year again..... you all know it, it's when the garden starts shouting out to you it need attention, lol. But I have made a start on a tag book thingy, maybe I'll get it finished over the weekend as the rain has come to this part of the UK so no garden demands at the moment 8-) it should give me time to spend indulging in a bit of crafting.

flowery card
Made using items brought from Graphicus & the ever yummy Glimmer mists (brand new colours) yummy pink ribbon along with my ever faithful cuttlebug for the word 'Hi', plus a pen or two to colour in with. It was the backing paper that jumped out at me to make this card & I'm so pleased it did, because I feel this is one of the nicest cards made in a long time.

Flying high
I've not been about much this last week due to sorting out my craft room. Got myself a few bargains for my room in the shape of shelving for 99p & a secondhand Ikea desk for a super bargain of £16.00, which put a very big smile on my face.
Managed to squeeze a hour in to make this fun card using more Doodle factory stamps, & those fabbie pencils again. Here's my little rapper man complete with gold necklace & cap flying high in his private chopper lol.

Mono magic & a memory
I really like the way this card tuned out, so clean & crisp, black & white never dates which is why I like it & I should really use it more.
The memory trip I had today was invoked when I had a clean up in my craft room (hopping to get a new desk & shelving) & came across this wonderful rubber stamp which was the first ever stamp I brought. I remember it well... after watching Dawn Bibby on QVC for the first time years ago, I was soo taken with what I saw I just had to have a go at what looked like loads of fun....& it turned out to be just that. At the time I didn't have a heat gun so used an iron.... the wrong way round, lol, instead of putting the paper on top of the iron I tried taking the iron as close as I could with out it touching the powder. I feel so silly now thinking about it, but like so many crafters out there I've come along way since then & it turned into an addiction.. which I know sooo many can relate to. I also remember after making up I think it was something like 10 cards I'd brought I had this down feeling because I'd no more to make up, so my addiction was sealed from the off set.

MTTC challenge
I've gone for an ATC for the MTTC challenge #51 which is themed on Hats, It's really funny because I made this before I even knew what the theme was going to be. I soo love these cute little people (from Starving Artistamps) The scene is suppose to be a theatre stage with gems along the bottom for lights & velvet scrolling to depict curtains...I hope this comes across.

Derwent inktense pencils tips
In answer to Carolyn's question asking if I've any tips on using these wonderful pencils, all I can say is have a good play around with them.... one thing I will say is where you want the shaded parts, colour these first with the pencils & pull the colour away using either water or if you add a second colour you could use the blender pen, that way you'll get an image that's got a darker inner that gets lighter towards the outer part, this is the way I did both the flower cards. Try mixing colours to, first colour in an image with say a red then go over with say a brown or an orange then take the blender pen or water both give a wonderful effect. Glenda gave a great demo of these on Create & Craft (if your able to get this channel on sky, it's well worth a watch) I've looked on her website & at the moment there are no video's of this, don't know if she has any plans to add any Derwent demos, you could always drop her a line here:-

Pencil mania
Isn't it funny, no matter how old you get you always favor the newest thing you've brought. In this case it's the Derwent Inktense Pencils I brought, wasn't content with just using them on the architecture card in my last post, I've gone mad & made these two for starters....

one for the men
I've been having loads of fun this week (must have something to do with being on holiday this week, Lol) made a load of cards, which I hope to up load over the coming days. Had a stash of goodies arrive from Graphicus & the States today, plus I brought a set of those fab Derwent Inktense after seeing them on Create & Craft, but knew as usual I could find them cheaper elsewhere.
Well the card I've popped up today is a great card I think for a man. Not that this was the kind of card I sat down to make, I just wanted to have a play with the yummy Inktense pencils :o)

A birdie told me....
Not a lot as it happens, lol, but I did manage to get him on to my card.... for any concerned people out there no cruel act took place.....honest.
I do love Glenda's stamps & yet again I've used them in this card, (apart from the birds in the sky, they came from cherrypie stamps. You can find the link for both websites down the left hand side under ' Web shops I like to visit') which really reminds me of those wonderful warm sunny days we get in summer, with the birds chirping away.....I can just here them now

Meeko's portrait
I won an auction on a forum run for rescued animals. (http://foa-rct.proboards.com/index.cgi) The auction was for a portrait done of your pet & the likeness from Meeko's photo is fantastic, it's been done in pastel which is what the lady Loraine uses in all her portraits. I've now framed it & it will be hung on the wall tomorrow

Pages for the handbag
I've been busy making a start on the pages for the chipboard handbag (pic of which can be found under the heading 'work in progress') With the page titled Fab I decided to turn everything on it's head kind of speaking & flip it round. Instead of doing the backround then stamping the images I used Cosmic Shimmer UT to make the background & then stamp the cheeky little fellow in white & the tree in green in to the still hot powder.... it was fun & turned out well me thinks
