Mystic stamping

Well what a wash out this back holiday was, had no obedience Sunday with Milo because of the bank holiday, although with all the rain we had it would have been cancelled, I've agility to looked forward to with Meeko which he loves, he now barks the whole time any of the other dogs are going round the apparatus... his mad, lol.
But not all bad as it gave me more time to spend in my room crafting making 2 tags & an ATC.

For the ATC I used old paper distress ink for the background using foam a colour box stylus tip, then stamped the image of a gypsy lady (I don't know the make) using brilliance rocket red, H2o was used for her headscarf & crystal lacquers on the necklace. The wording came from Paper Artsy which I stamped onto card & coloured the background again with the old paper distress ink.

This tag was first spritzed with Moon Glow spritzers in medieval gold & polished copper, the paper came from Graphicus which I stamped using the eye stamp in black ink. I then took a piece of square mount board inked it up using walnut & vintage photo distress ink pads. 3 coasts of glaze were then applied with a little red embossing powder being added after the third coat had melted, the stamp of the eye which came from paper artsy was pressed into the still hot glaze, the stamp was first inked up with Rangers jet black archival ink.

ATC swap

On receiving the latest addition of the Graphicus Guild members pack I decided to enter the members ACT swap, which is going to be a summer theme. I got straight to work on them & have just finished them, so as there's no time like the present here they are:

shimmering again

Following on from my post Friday, I made & entered a card to win some fab Cosmic shimmer goodies. Don't want to post a pic just yet, temping fate & all that.... not that I think I'll win, all I'll say is it's very lilacy.

Tag it
For this tag I used gloss card mounted on to a tag, I then inked the background with a red cats eye chalk, for the photo slide I used Adirondack inks for the background, which I bent over first to give it that aged look. The girl was stamp using a red Brilliance dew drop ink pad then clear embossing powder over the top... All the stamps used came from Graphicus

Had a craft burst over the weekend... not done that for a bit..

Along with the book I managed to get a page & a few cards done. Using mainly those wonderful Alcohol inks (must remember to get more) I first played around with the inks getting different backgrounds, the rest just happened as they say :)

My favourite has to be the black & red page.

Oh no rations

Decided to dig out my Ephemera book of vintage images, flicking through came across a ration book pic, well I just had to do something with that, on finding a strip of ration stamps along with a strip of token stamps I just had to make that ration book pic into just that a ration book
Using the following

  • white card

  • small staples

  • Vintage photo Distress ink

  • Tim Holtz paper distresser

It's a girl

A friend asked if I could come up with a really special kind of bady card for a girl, her daughter is expecting & it will be her first grandchild. She'd been around all the shops looking for a card that said 'daughter & son-in-law', but non of them sold this kind of card. I had the weekend to think of something that would be special & you couldn't buy in the shop, an exploding box came to mind. I set to work on it Tuesday & finished it last night.... this is the end result:

Weekended

The weekend weather was so glorious I just couldn't bring myself to get any crafting done, even though I had these fab stamps turn up...

But as Monday dawned I had to get stuck in & make something, so sat down & thought right what shall it be, a page, a card, some stampbord..nope I think a few ATC's this time round & being dragon stamps red was going to have to be the main colour.

Had another play with the Peacock ladies & came up with these 2 pages, I'm really pleased with the results..... love it when things turn out & you haven't found yourself putting it in the recycle pile.

New stamps from Glenda

I brought the Peacock ladies themeplate from Graphicus last week, finally got round to playing with some of the images late yesterday.. only managed a tag & a piece of stampbord though.

Loved the texture of the velvet paper I used for this tag. I used Versamagic inks to colour the background of the tag, but wasn't sure if they'd dry what with it being like a fabric, but no worries they dried just fine.

I've made it

Finally took the plunge & started a blog..Woo Hoo.

At the moment I've no idea what to waffle on about :) but I'm sure once I get into it I'll have a bit to say.

Hoping to pop some of my work up over the weeks ahead, so please feel free to come back & take a look... bye for now.
